About Jesse

Every day I think about how I can improve my life and my family’s. Here I share what I’ve studied and experienced. The lessons and ideas are inspired by historical figures, philosophy and rappers.

Naughty Eccentric by Nature

For some context, I’m the kind of person who explored polyphasic sleep which led to sleeping in my car for 20 minutes stints during during the work day, made my own standing desk out of reams of paper back when standing while working was exclusively for the weirdo who wanted to hover over their co-workers cubicles and I started fasting when people thought it was an eating disorder.

Modus Operandi

“Life is a game of chess”, a phrase we’ve all heard and one that I personally felt kinship with. Then I realized a disconnect, Chess Grandmasters study, they study hundreds of openings, historical games, strategy and tactics. All of that for a 1 one 1 match where everyone can see all the pieces and everyone starts off on equal footing. Life, full of unknowns, inequalities and multiple opponents requires even greater study than a grandmaster applies to chess. That’s what i’m aiming for, to be. grandmaster of life. Will I succeed? Who knows, but it won’t be for a lack of trying. Besides, there are issues with modern definitions of what’s deemed a successful life, so I may hit it based on my metrics.
